2017 Reading Challenges

Tuesday 3 January 2017

2017 is finally the year where I read the hell out no matter what happens, I am focused, I am determined, I will persevere, I will read! *gets my game face on*

Okay this is what I tell myself on a daily basis, when in reality...

I sit down to read a book or I think I have time to read a book and than BAM! I am running around doing a million things and thoughts are running in my head, did I close the window properly? Is the laundry done? What am I making tonight? What's for dinner? Things that need cleaning AND STOP.
That is basically what happens in my head 24/7, its like running a never ending marathon, it just keeps going and going. You get the idea. But this time I want to make it happen so what do I decide to do? Take part in challenges of course! I decided to take part in three:

1. British Books Challenge

This is hosted by the lovely Chelley, check out her post here.  I chose this one because living in the UK, I haven't read much books by UK authors so I am hoping this encourages me to do so! I plan to read at least 12 books by British authors!

1. Wing Jones by Katherine Webber
2. How Hard Can Love Be? by Holly Bourne

2.  2017 Netgalley & Edelweiss Reading Challenge

This one is quite simple, I use these websites ALOT and I just CAN'T STOP MYSELF FROM REQUEST OKAY??? I have a problem!!! And when the publishers accepts my request its like an early Christmas present 😊. I am aiming for a Bronze at the moment then hopefully working my way up. This is hosted by Katrina at Bookish Things & More, check out her post here
