My Rating: 5/5

Synopsis:

When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.

Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night - but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.

When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

So I recently purchased a book By Webber on Google Play after hearing several good reviews for this author. I thought I would give her a try. I absolutely love the cover, I thought it was fascinating with the image they have chosen. I personally think this book is inspired by the Fifty Shades triology as a lot of books have been released due to the success of novels. This plot begins with Jacqueline encountering this incident that took place after two weeks on the saturday at a party where she attends of her exe's. It goes back to two weeks later where the details are further elaborated; She is then attacked by one of her exe's rival and is saved by Lucas. A cute, mysterious boy who is suddenly everywhere once he saves her from the incident. She then has to face a tough decision as who is this Lucas and who is this mysterious tutor LM. But as the plot develops, Jacqueline soon is faced with a series of events; her ex wants her back, she develops a crush in Lucas, she flirts with her online tutor. Only towards the end do you realise what secrets Lucas is hiding.  I look forward to reading more of her books in the future!
