Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in New York City... and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.

Funny to watch, Alvin and the chipmunks learn what it means to go through extreme measures to save their family. Unknown to them, thing's aren't what they seem. As such we join the chipmunks with Miles to stop Dave from proposing to his girlfriend.

OMG! This was so hilarious to see, it always to good to see the chipmunks again! I am in love with these chipmunks, ever since the first film they have stole my heart.

Alvin as usual likes to get himself in trouble, being mischievous and infuriating Dave is in Alvin's blood but we can't help but love him. Simon the mature one who is constantly helping to keep Alvin out of trouble. The ever so cute Theodore tags along with this two older brothers, he wins the audience over with his cuteness.

I really thought the plot was cute but very cliché, this film fails to draw the viewers in although the film makers did a good try. Every scene was predictable, there was no surprises which could have favoured the film. However, that is not to say there were no sweet moments between the characters, there is especially between Miles and chipmunks it was good to see them finally working with each other and considering one another family.

These CGI effects I always find it fascinating, the more movies I watch the more I am intrigued as to how this process works. I may make it a goal of mine to see (or become one of those people) who are behind the scenes.

Overall, a fun cute movie to watch. I still prefer the first movie though. That will always be my favourite from the franchise!
