Zootropolis exceeded expectations, a movie with a powerful message. These tenacious characters mirror reality today, fight for their dreams, they just like us meet characters who try to put them down and tell you what to do. In the end, you have to trust your own instincts and follow your own heart.
Judy- a young, ambitious rabbit dreams of becoming the first rabbit to become a police officer in Utopia. However, things don't go smooth for her as the others make fun of her, tell her that it is unachievable. A likeable trait of Judy is she is very cunning, it would be your mistake to undermine her abilities. This happens to her a lot in the movie, a lot of the other animals underestimate her because of who she is and her height which is it a lot like reality, people underestimating you because of your age, gender, background, weight, height etc.
Nick, on the other hand, is very conniving, he makes a living of telling lies and doing illegal things which he is quickly apprehended by Judy. Luckily, she uses this to her advantage and manages to convince Nick to aid her in her investigation. Judy and Nick try to uncover the missing disappearances of predatory animals and discover why they are behaving so primal (which is in their nature, e.g. preying on animals they would eat)
I really loved the tone of this movie because it was not what I expected. Despite both main characters playful banter, Zootropolis has perfect combined ingredients for both the adults and kids. It had laughter, sweet moments, action, family, learning from your mistakes, friendship and most of all everyone in the world working together to make it a better place.
Oh another favourite thing about this movie is it stars Shakira in it! Yay! I love her music even though I do not understand the Spanish words, but I do love the tone of her music and I was so happy when her music was played on the screens it made me want to get up and dance.
I definitely recommend this for the family and the kids.
Until next time.
